JLT Conference Postcard Book

Branding · Print · Photography · London

A marketing gift designed for an internal branding event at JLT — a global insurance and reinsurance group. The brief called for a piece that would introduce the brand and marketing team in a way that felt different, human, and memorable.

Internal brand events often rely on the same formats — presentations, printed programmes, digital screens. The challenge was to create something that would stand out, be kept, and communicate the personality of the team rather than just its function.

The concept drew on the way things were done before — when communication was slower, more considered, and more personal. The postcard format was chosen deliberately: tactile, collectible, and immediate. Each card featured a team member photographed with a vintage aesthetic, shot and art directed by me. The result was a book of postcards that felt like a found object rather than a corporate deliverable.

A print piece that functioned both as a team introduction and as a brand statement — one that communicated craft, personality, and attention to detail. Managed end to end: concept, photography direction, design, and production.

“Juan worked very well within the team and was flexible in his approach with the type of work he was given. All designers in the team are required to work on multiple jobs and to manage the client and production process from design to completion. The work produced by the team is conceptual and to a high standard. Juan was able to regularly deliver the standards required and his additional photography skills made him a valuable member of the team.”
